Bidspirit auction | SALVER AND JAR

SALVER AND JAR - Wheeling, West Virginia and/or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, mid-19th century, colorless glass. Hollow-stemmed cake stand or salver of monumental size, possibly by the East Wheeling Glass Works, 9.5” high, 14.25” diameter; together with a small jar or canister with rings, 8.5” high. A nearly identical salver is illustrated as figure 384 in McCluskey and Measell, Wheeling Glass 1829-1939. Condition: Chip to the rim of the salver no apparent damage to the canister
