Dunbar was a Canadian-born sculptor who spent his career in DC and whose other subjects included Sitting Bull and Frederick Douglass. Charlotte Buffet Smith was the wife of noted microbiologist Erwin F. Smith. She died young, only in her 30s. Condition: Retains its original patina, with some wear on the high points.
