PORTRAITS OF TWO MEMBERS OF THE LORD FAMILY - Oils on canvas, 1860-1875. Both seated portraits of older gentlemen. Unframed. 42” high, 34” wide. The gentleman without the spectacles is believed to be Frank Lord (1833-1873). Given the similarities in the size and style of the portraits, the other may be one of Frank's brothers as both descended in the Lord family. A note on the back attributes one painting to Thomas Buchanan Read (1822-1872). Condition: Both with numerous holes and paint loss, though neither has much damage in the head/face area.
