RIVER LANDSCAPE WITH HOUSE - Oil on canvas, signed ”AJ” or ”AI” Poe and dated February 1911, and also inscribed ”M Lowell”, all in the lower right. Tranquil scene with a charming house with a stone chimney. Unframed, 24” high, 32” wide. This was likely painted by Andrew I. Poe, who studied at the Cincinnati School of Design before moving east to Pennsylvania. It is not known to what the ”M Lowell” refers. Condition: Needs cleaned, L-tear in the tree on the right.
