PRESENTATION SPENCERIAN DRAWING - Made for L.M. Shrimplin for Mary Gaines in 1925, ink on paper. With a bird at the center of a wreath. In a period/original frame. 13” high, 15” wide (sight). 17.5” high, 19.5” wide (overall). Mary Gaines McGibeny (1908-1993) was born in Highland County, Ohio, and married John Robert McGibney (1907-1997) of Knox County, Ohio. L.M. Shrimplin was from Knox County. Lena Maude Shrimplin (1874-1952), the artist, married John Henry Penhorwood (1865-1923). Condition: Light toning, not removed from frame for examination.
