PATRIOTIC DECORATED CHEST - American, 2nd half-19th century. Tongue, groove, and panel construction typically seen on cabinetmaker's and carpenter's chests. With applied corner turnings and a star on the lid. Retains its original red, white, and blue paint. 23” high, 49” wide, 20” deep. Ex Fred Giampietro (Connecticut). Condition: Paint has been lightly cleaned (the paint on the back was left untouched).
