CHIPPENDALE CHEST-AND-BOOKCASE-ON-FRAME - Probably Connecticut, late 18th century, cherry and pine. Bonnet-top with carved rosettes and spiral finial, over two paneled doors with interior shelves, over three small drawers, over three graduated drawers, all resting on bandy legs with pad feet. 84” high, 43” wide, 20” deep. Condition: Refinished, numerous repairs, the hood of the bonnet is likely an early addition, the frame appears to be mostly old but with some later elements.
