WESTERN SKETCH ATTRIBUTED TO JOHN JENSEN - Mixed media on paper attributed to listed artist John Jensen, signed lower left and dated ’73. Jensen created similar production art sketches for the 1972 Warner Bros. film “The Cowboys” directed by Mark Rydell and featuring John Wayne as a 19th Montana century rancher who hires a group of boys to help him lead his annual cattle drive. Art measures approximately 6.5” H x 10” W presented in a frame measuring 13” H x 16” W x 1” D.  Artist bio: Jensen was a well known Hollywood costome designer, story board artist and illustrator. He also did designs for many iconic movies dating back to the 1950s. He was nominated for two costumeAcademy Awards, 1957 for The Ten Commandments and 1959 for The Buccaneer.
