COLLECTION OF PETRIFIED WOOD - A collection of petrified wood, including: three pieces of polished petrified ”bogwood” or Larsonite from McDermitt, OR, a rare form of chromium-rich petrified wood that formed when volcanic ash minerals replaced wood in a reducing swamp or bog after a nearby volcanic eruption; and three pieces of brown, black, and pink petrified wood, the largest of which measures 5.5” H x 3.5” W x 2” D for reference.
