THOMAS HILL JR. 'YOSEMITE VALLEY' GOUACHE PAINTING - Original gouache painting on paper by listed artist, Thomas Virgil Troyon Hill Jr. (1871 - 1922), signed lower right. Features a view of the Yosemite Valley in the western Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Art measures 14” H x 20” W presented in a frame measuring 18” H x 24” W x 2” D.  Artist bio: The son of landscape painter Thomas Hill. As a painter the younger Hill was self-taught except for lessons he received from his father. His few extant paintings are mostly landscapes of northern California and still lifes.
