EVELYN NADEAU SEASCAPE OIL PAINTING - Original seascape oil painting on board by listed artist, Evelyn Dilly Hunt Nadeau (CA, 1898 - 1976), signed lower right, titled on the verso ”Storm Brewing W...” with the final word of the title illegibly faded. Art measures 15.5” h x 19.5” w presented in a frame measuring 19.5” x 23.5”.  Artist bio: Born into the well-known pioneer R.O. Hunt family of Santa Barbara and great grand daughter to Remi Nadeau of that Los Angeles family; talent showed itself early in pen and ink drawings at 13 years of age. Throughout her career, Nadeau's work was exhibited in various galleries and institutions across California, contributing significantly to the state's artistic heritage.
