NESTOR FRUGE 'NEW ORLEANS FRENCH QUARTER' WATERCOLOR - Original watercolor painting on paper by listed artist, Nestor Hippoyle Fruge (LA, 1914/16 - 2011), signed lower right. Features a French Quarter scene in New Orleans, Louisiana. Art measures 12.5” h x 9.5” w presented in a frame measuring 21” x 17”.  Artist bio: A self-trained artist, Nestor operated an art school in New Orleans and speciaized in oils and watercolors. He was known for painting scenese of New Orleans, New York, Paris, and Mexico. His achievements and awards date back to mid-30's and include the following: Operated Fruge's Academy of Art, New Orleans, 1949-1952.
