HARRISON HARTLEY 'SANTA MONICA, CALIF.' WATERCOLOR PAINTING - Original watercolor painting on paper by listed artist, Harrison Hartley (IA, MO, 1888-), signed lower left, dated '41 & titled ”Santa Monica, Calif.” Art measures 13” h x 18” w mounted in a frame measuring 20” x 25”.  Artist bio: Hartley was an American artist renowned for his work as a watercolorist, illustrator, cartoonist, and designer. Hartley contributed illustrations to publications such as the Saturday Evening Post and had his watercolors featured in the Ford Times magazine. He also served as a lecturer and was actively involved in various art organizations, including the American Artists Professional League and the Greater Kansas City Art Association. Hartley's artistic achievements were recognized with several awards, notably from the Huntington Hartford Foundation and the Platte Purchase award in St. Joseph.
