A JAPANESE MISHIMA-TYPE DOUBLE-GOURD SHAPED VASE AND A FLARED BOWL, 20TH CENTURY, IMPRESSED SEAL MARKS. The vase decorated with broad bands of small white chrysanthemum and flowerheads on a pale grey ground, 18.5cm high and the bowl decorated with band of chevrons, waves and geometric ornament on a grey-buff coloured ground 22.5cm diam. (2)
Provenance: Property of a Sussex gentleman
Condition: The vase in good order overall, some minor glaze faults to the neck. The bowl with a large footrim chip, deep and extensive glaze crazing overall. Some sanding and misfiring to glaze.
