A VERY LARGE CHINESE SECTIONAL LACQUERED CABINET, 20TH CENTURY. In four tiers to include the stand carved with pierced geometric sections; The lower section with drawers and panelled doors; The upper section with drawers and large panelled doors surrounded by carved panels intricately carved in deep relief with figures and animals on a floral ground; All below the top section featuring dogs of fo surmounted by a separately carved bird finial. Red lacquered with metal hardware and handles. Total 251cm tall x 100cm wide x 52cm deep. The top and lower cabinet sections can be used without each other to have two pieces of furniture. Provenance: Purchased in Taiwan in the 1990s.
Good overall condition with no signs of damage or repair. With two key locks.
