ANTIQUE PRINTED MAP 'CHINA' BY GEORGE PHILLIP & SON, London c1859. Lithograph Original Colour. This interesting map of China was published in "The Philips New General Atlas". In the bottom left corner is a list of
useful Chinese terms, translated into English. Postage stamp-size insets show outline detail of the important ports of Chusan, Amoy and Hong Kong. The map
is surrounded by a distinctive and decorative piano-key border. 595 by 520mm (23.5 by 20.5 inches). Good overall condition with minor restoration.
