Third Reich Paulusbrunn Fire Protection Police Service Tunic - A rare wartime German Feuerschutzpolizei Paulusbrunn wool service or dress tunic represents the municipal fire protection police station at Paulusbrunn. The dark navy blue Dienstrock features carmine-red piping along the front closure, lower scalloped sleeve cuffs, rear vent flaps, and standing collar line. It is fitted with red-backed municipal officer Litzen collar tabs, matching silver braid shoulder boards indicating the rank of Anwarter or Unterwachtmeister, pebble-finish aluminum buttons, and an interior embroidered inventory marking. The left sleeve bears a carmine-red machine-embroidered Feuerschutzpolizei district eagle patch with the arched location designation ”Paulusbrunn.” Three buttons have come off; two are included and one is missing. A small moth hole is present near the lower reverse seam. Paulusbrunn no longer exists; the village stood directly along the border and was cleared by the communist government beginning in the 1950s as part of a restricted military border zone, with buildings, homes, and the local church removed by the 1970s. The tunic measures approximately 45 cm pit to pit and 67 cm from the neck to the bottom. Normal wear from age and handling is present. Condition: VERY GOOD
