John Harper & Co. Ltd. ”County Bank” Architectural Still Bank - Dating to the late Victorian period, this John Harper & Co. Ltd. ”County Bank” architectural still bank was manufactured at the Albion Works in Willenhall, England. The stylized castle or country house design retains a historic copper-toned japanned wash finish. ”COUNTY BANK” is prominently cast across the front frieze, while the rear facade bears the British design registry mark ”Rd No 180427,” corresponding to its original registration on October 8, 1891. An identification paper is affixed to the underside of the bank. A longitudinal coin slot runs along the center of the corrugated peaked roof. It measures approximately 5” L x 2.5” W x 4.2” H.
