(4) Cast Iron Still Banks 1800s Wertheim Safe Promo/Williams/Other - A distinctive group of four original cast iron still banks brings together an extremely rare mid-1800s key-type lock salesman sample/promotional pocket safe bank manufactured by the Austrian safe company F. Wertheim & Co., a 1920s English Humpty Dumpty bank finished in orange, a ca. 1882 Lincoln High Hat ”Pass Around the Hat” penny bank, and an A.C. Williams Statue of Liberty bank with a gold wash finish. The Wertheim safe bank is marked ”Wertheim & Wiese” on the marquee and retains its original working key, attached by a ribbon. Pitting is present on the raw iron, along with loss to the copper-wash plating and a dent in the pressed-steel back plate. The Statue of Liberty bank retains red accents to the crown and torch flame. The Wertheim safe bank measures approximately 2.25” W x 3.75” H; the Humpty Dumpty bank measures approximately 6” H, the Lincoln High Hat bank measures approximately 2.5” H; and the Statue of Liberty bank measures approximately 6.25” H. The overall condition ranges from good to very good. Condition: MIXED VG/G
