Schuco 5500 Real Elektro Mercedes 280 SL Tin Boxed - Manufactured by Schuco between 1965 and 1972, this No. 5500 Real Elektro Mercedes 280 SL is based on the iconic Mercedes-Benz 230SL/280SL ”Pagoda” and represents one of Schuco's most popular tin automobile models. The car remains in excellent condition with only minor wear, while the windshield exhibits some crazing. Both the mechanical and electrical functions were tested during cataloging and found to be in working condition. Features include a working ignition key, synchronized four-speed transmission with reverse and neutral, and steering by either the steering wheel or the remote control shaft. Power is supplied by four AA batteries housed in the engine compartment. This example includes two ignition keys, the steering wheel, and three bollards. The steering tether is not present. The original box remains in Very Good condition with only light shelf wear. It measures approximately 10.25” L. Condition: EXCELLENT
