Mercedes-Benz 600 Book of Tin Toy Cars Example, ALPS Japan Boxed - This battery-operated Mercedes-Benz 600 by Alps of Japan is the exact example pictured in The Big Book of Tin Toy Cars. Finished in original dove gray paint, the toy was tested during cataloging and found to be in working condition, with the headlights illuminating and the forward and reverse functions operating smoothly. This example originated from the Bill Gallagher find, was imported from Japan, and then put into the Glasbrenner Collection for decades. The Mercedes retains its original inserts and emblem. The original box shows shelf wear and a split edge. The toy remains in excellent condition with a near-new appearance. It measures approximately 9.5” L. Condition: EXCELLENT
