Bidspirit auction | Arlington Racecourse Jockey Silks (4)

Arlington Racecourse Jockey Silks (4) - The Arlington International Racecourse thrilled Chicago area fans for nearly 100 years before running its last race on September 25, 2021. The property was subsequently purchased by the Chicago Bears who had plans to build a new stadium on the site. Here we have four jockey racing silks from the former racecourse. Al four silks appear to be brand new, never worn, and have a sewn in tag from Noble's Jockey Apparel in Davie, FL. None of the silks has a size indicated but they are rather small. All four of the silks have a logo of some sort from the Arlington Park racecourse. Also included is one silk cap with an elastic band allowing for a firm fit over a racing helmet. This silk cap has the letter A on the sides and does exhibit a trace amount of wear. It also has ”AP 363” written on the underside which we believe refers to Arlington Park.
