Two Victorian ”Sweet Home Soap” Scrapbooks - Two scrapbooks from the mid-to-late 1800s. The inside covers read ”This Scrap Book is presented to the purchaser of a case of Sweet Home Family Soap, with our sincere regards.” Both scrapbooks have clippings from advertisements and postcards pasted in. One is signed ”To Mrs. MA Wilkinson from Edith Wilkinson”. This scrapbook is a little more personal, with poetry seemingly written by Edith scattered throughout the book. Both books have pages torn out or loose from the binding, as well as some damage to the edges of the yellowed pages, as expected for paper of this age which has not been preserved. The pages are also somewhat brittle, but can be handled with gentle hands. See photos for more details.
