Patent Model Steam Engine Slide Valve, 1866 - Patent model for slide valves for a steam engine by W.R. Jenkins Jr. and H.D. Landis. Has what appears to be original hand written patent tag (patent No. 53985) with patent date of April 17 1866, and the handwritten patent application tag (handwriting has faded, but the tag is an 1865 tag). We have printed out a copy of the original diagrams and description. Model is made of wood. Includes 8.25” x 11” frame with copy of diagram. Measures approximately 8” x 5.5” x 6” tall. Weight: approximately 2.0 pounds. Wooden case has light wear. Please see photos for details and condition.
