G.D. Goodrich Patent Model Peat Machine, 1867 - Patent model Peat Machine by G.D. Goodrich. Has what appears to be original hand written patent tag (patent No. 71870) with patent date of December 10 1867, and the handwritten patent application tag dated April 24 1867. We have printed out a copy of the original diagrams and description. Model is made of wood and metal. Measures approximately 11.75” x 10.75” x 10.5” tall. Weight: approximately 5 pounds. This model has suffered some damage. Part of the side wall of the vertical tank has detached, but is present. The mechanism that goes into the vertical tank has become damaged.
