WWII Era US Navy British Ship Recognition Models - Set of twenty nine (29) WWII era US Navy British ship recognition models. Manufactured by H.A. Framburg Co. Chicago in 1943 these models were used to train personnel to identify warships. The set is housed in a wood folding case with sliding shelves and rope handles. Each shelf is stamped on the bottom with the name of the ship. The ships are cast and painted metal. The three aircraft carriers are marked: ”Biter” (Archer Class); ”Furious” and Illustrious Class. Case measures approximately 17” X 13.5” X 4”. Total weight approximately 14.8lbs. Case and shelves show some signs of wear in form of chips and scratches. Ship models are in very good condition. Overall very good condition considering age and history.
