Ralph Sampson Game Worn Basketball Shoes (JSA) - One pair of Puma basketball shoes (soles measure approximately 14.5” long!) - worn by Ralph Sampson some time between 1983 and 1985 while he played with the Houston Rockets. Both shoes are signed on the outside ankle (the right shoe is inscribed ”To Tom:”. Signatures have some sign of wear, and shoes have definite wear. Accompanied by a Mears / JSA Auction House Letter of Authenticity and a Mears photo Letter of Authenticity. Sampson was a 3-time national college player of the year while at the University of Virginia, the first overall selection in the 1983 NBA Draft, and , the 1984 NBA Rookie of the Year, and a 4-time All-Star before induction to the College Basketball Hall of Fame and Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
