Vintage Handmade Zuni Fetish Necklaces - Six handmade vintage Zuni fetish necklaces decorated with various carved animal beads. Some appear to have sterling fastenings. From shortest to longest; a 16” cord with white shells, four carved bird fetishes, and small amethyst accents; a 17” inch beaded cord with 12 bear fetishes carved from a stone like jadeite, nephrite, or similar; a 24” cord lined with carved shells and 16 bird fetishes also carved from shell; a 24.75” cord of carved shells between 19 bird fetishes carved from mother of pearl; a 29.5” cord with carved shells, sterling beads, three pieces of turquoise, and four mother of pearl bird fetishes; and finally a 29.5” beaded cord with 19 various animals: seven birds, six bears, two frogs, two fish, and two foxes.
