DC ”Detective Comics” Key #400 - 1st App Man-Bat - DC Comics. ”Detective Comics, ” Volume I, key issue no. 400, Silver Age, 1970. Including issue no. 400. The 400th anniversary issue features the origin story and first appearance of ”Man-Bat” as well as the first Robin and Batgirl team-up story. Written by Frank Robbins and Denny O'Neil. With art by Neal Adams, Dick Giordano, Gil Kane and Vince Colletta. Height: 10 1/4 in x width: 7 in. Condition: All pages are present and accounted for. There are no tears, large creases, losses, or repairs to the book. There are small bindery chips or perforations along the lower margins of several pages in the middle of the comic. The pages are toned, as expected with age. Very light wear to the covers and the spine; there is a small horizontal crease along a lower corner of the back cover. There is a region of red distributor overspray along the upper edge of the textblock. The comic is bagged and boarded. This comic book has not been professionally graded and we recommend inspection prior to bidding.
