DC ”Action Comics” Issue No. 254- 1st App. Bizarro - DC Comics. Key issue Silver Age ”Action Comics” comic book, issue no. 254, 1959. Featuring the historic first appearance of the Superman villain ”Bizarro, ” as an adult, and the first-ever meeting between Superman and Bizarro. Additionally featuring the third appearance of Supergirl. Written by Otto Binder with art from Al Plastino and Curt Swan. Height: 10 1/4 in x width: 7 in. Condition: All pages are present and accounted for. Wear throughout, as expected with age and material. The pages are toned, particularly along the margins. There are no large tears or losses to the pages; there is a small tear to the first page along the spine and several minute tears to the region where the textblock is folded along the lower extreme edge of the spine. There is a vertical tear measuring approximately 1/2 inch to the covers along the lower edge of the spine. There are four small tears (three measuring less than 1/4 inch) along the front cover; there is one small tear measuring less than 1/4 inch along the upper edge of the back cover. There is a small and light crease along the lower right margin of all pages. Light soiling to the lower right quadrant of page 13. There is a small pen inscription along the upper left quadrant of the front cover. The comic has been bagged and boarded. This comic book has not been professionally graded and we recommend inspection prior to bidding.
