4 Marvel ”Nick Fury, Agent of Shield” Comics - Marvel Comics. Group of four Silver Age ”Nick Fury, Agent of Shield” comic books, no. 1-3 and 5, 1968. Written by Jim Steranko. Artwork by Jim Steranko and Joe Sinnott. Featuring key issue no. 1, with the premiere issue of the solo series and the introduction of Scorpio; issue no. 2, featuring a classic appearance of Centurius; issue no. 3, with an iconic Salvador Dali-inspired hallucinatory cover; and no. 5, featuring the final legendary Jim Steranko story and artwork on the title. (Comic books, each) Height: 10 1/4 in x width: 6 3/4 in. Condition: All pages are present and accounted for. There are no large tears, losses, or repairs. To #1, the spine is slightly rolled and there is a small diagonal crease to the lower right corner of the front cover. To #2, there is some rolling to the spine that has lead the covers to shift slightly; there is a crease along the upper right quadrant of the front cover and a small penciled ”10” inscription along the left quadrant of the front cover. To #5, there are light diagonal creases along the upper right quadrant of the final ten pages and a small tear along the lower left edge of the spine, measuring less than 1/4 inch, noticeable upon close inspection; light soiling to the upper left quadrant of the cover. All comics show signs of wear, as expected with age and read conditon, especially along the extreme edges. Each comic is bagged and boarded.
