Avraham Ben-Naim. 1790s. Rabbi Eliyahu Tzarfati (1715-1805), born in Fez to the distinguished Tzarfati family, descended from Rashi, and studied under the great Morrocan Rabbis Rabbi Yehuda Ben-Attar, Rabbi Shmuel Elbaz and Rabbi Chaim Ben-Attar.
