William IV Figured Walnut Adjustable Double-Sided Reading Table
A William IV Figured Walnut Adjustable Double-Sided Reading Table, Second Quarter 19th Century.
The rectangular top having two ratcheted reading slopes to either side, raised on an octagonal tapered column with ratcheted height adjustment, with arched platform base, raised on turned feet, ending in casters.
Dimensions: Height adjustment from 31in to 42 3/4in; width 36in; depth 17 3/4in.
Provenance: Property from a Local Collection.
Condition:
Structurally sound. Typical marks, wear, shrinkage and minor movement and age cracks to veneers. Lacking one book ledge. Retaining an old warm surface. General marks, wear, nicks and surface scratches commensurate with age and use.
