George III Style Gilt Bronze Mounted Ebonized Musical Bracket Clock - A George III Style Gilt Bronze Mounted Ebonized Musical Bracket Clock, 19th Century. The arched  case with five brass urn finials and side handles above cast sound frets, the canted corners with applied figural and floral mounts flanking an arched door, raised on gilt bronze front feet and brass ball rear feet. The arched brass dial with 'Slow/Fast' and 'Chime on Eight Bells/Westminster Chimes' dials to the lunette above a silvered chapter ring having Roman hours and Arabic minutes about a matte center, with 'Strike/Silent' lever, all within cast spandrels. The three train fusee movement with anchor escapement, striking on a six inch gong and rack of eight bells. Dimensions: Height 22in; width 14 1/4in; depth 9in. Provenance: Property from the Collection of an English Gentleman. Condition: The case in overall good restored condition. Typical rubbing to case and bronze mounts; especially to high points and along edges and corners. At the time the condition report was written, the clock was maintaining power and striking correctly. Lacking case key. We cannot guarantee the completeness and functionality of the clocks movement.
