Pennsylvania Queen Anne Walnut Tilt-Top Candlestand - A Pennsylvania Queen Anne Walnut Tilt-Top Candlestand, 18th Century. The circular one board dished-top above a tapered ring-turned pedestal with carved suppressed ball,  raised on a tripod base with cabriole legs, terminating in snake feet. Together with a similar George II style carved mahogany pie crust candlestand. Dimensions: Height of walnut candlestand 28in; diameter 20 3/4in; Height of mahogany candlestand 23 3/4in; diameter 18 1/4in. Condition: The Queen Anne stand with fading to the top. General marks, wear, nicks, and surface scratches throughout. Shrinkage and minor age cracks throughout, otherwise good condition. The George II stand possibly reduced in height. Structurally sound. Retaining an old dark finish. Age crack to the top. Each of the three legs with significant breaks and glued repairs. Glue residue to each of the legs.
