An Old Sheffield Plate Cake Basket - Circa 1820,  of typical form with gadrooned foot and top edge, the piece features a bail handle, with armorial crest for Admiral Sir Alexander Cochrane (1758 - 1832) Dimensions:  the height not including the handle is 5 3/4”, 13 1/2” wide  Condition: The foot has a dent, other scattered dings to the body of the basket.
