Incised to the reverse of crest rail '8027 Exp II'.  Provenance:  Acquired directly from the artist by the present owner. Property from the Collection of Gary and Evelyn Carpenter, Pennsylvania. Footnote:  Gary Carpenter is the stepbrother of the late Arthur Espenet Carpenter (1920-2006); an American self-taught master woodworker and furniture maker of the Studio Craft movement of the mid 20th century. General marks, wear, nicks, abrasions and surface scratches. There is some damage and repair to the rawhide seat, otherwise in good condition.
