Cesare Occhi Large Studio Craft Figured Black Walnut Partners' Desk - Cesare Occhi (Italian/American, 1928-2022) Large Studio Craft Figured Black Walnut Partners' Desk, In the Manner of George Nakashima (American, 1905-1990). The large low cabinet is fitted with six short drawers, two adjustable shelves and a fall front hinged cupboard. The large rectangular writing surface is supported by a bank of four drawers to either side. Having two genuine and two false to each side. Cesare Occhi emigrated from Italy to the United Sates in 1955, settling in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. He briefly worked in the Studio of George Nakashima (Solebury, Pennsylvania) during the 1970s. Dimensions: Height of low cabinet 24 3/4in; Height of desk 30in; width 108in; depth 60in. Provenance:  Purchased directly from artist by present owner. Property from a Local Collection.  Condition: Structurally sound. General fading, wear, abrasions, and surface scratches overall. Typical nicks and dings to edges from use.
