An Oak Onyx Inlaid Games Table, Late 19th Century. The circular oak top fitted with an inset onyx checkers/chess playing surface.
Dimensions: Height 29in; diameter of top 28in; dimensions of playing surface 16 x 16in.
Provenance: Property from the Collection of Lisa and John DeBella.
Condition:
Structurally sound. General fading to the oak top. Typical marks, wear, nicks, stains and surface scratches. The stone playing surface with minor movement and slightly uneven. The table possibly reduced in height to the feet. The playing surface is likely an old adaptation.
