French Patinated Bronze Figure: Joan of Arc, After Louis Gossin (1846-1928)
A French Patinated Bronze Figure: Jeanne d'Arc (Joan of Arc). After a Model by Louis Gossin (1846-1928), Late 19th Century. Incised 'Gossin'. Raised on a revolving circular base, stamped 'FIZEL JEUNE DEPOSE'.
Dimensions: Height of figure 20 1/4in; width 6 1/2in; depth 7in; height overall 22in.
Provenance: Property from the Collection of Lisa and John DeBella.
Condition:
General wear, abrasions, scratches and rubbing to the surface. Rubbing most evident to high points. The flag pole has a full break just above the figure's hand. A large dent to the top of the revolving base at reverse of figure. A loss to the end of the sword in the figure's hand.
