Two Large Chinese Storage Jars - A large early terracotta storage jar made for the Southeast Asian market. In a buff colored glaze and with attached coral from long term submersion in salt water. Probably from a shipwreck. Together with a Cizhou style jar with typical repeated decoration in brown. Dimensions: The terracotta jar is 15” in diameter, the height is 19”. The Chizou style jar is 17” in diameter and 28” tall. Provenance: Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Estate. Condition: The terracotta example has some foot rim chips, overall good condition. The Cizhou style jar has chips to the top rim and some tight hairlines in the same area.
