Monumental Dutch Colonial Wrought Iron Mounted Teak Chest - A Monumental Dutch Colonial Wrought Iron Mounted Teak Chest, 18th Century. The thumb molded single board hinged top with applied molding below fastened to an open dovetailed box by six wrought iron cotter pins, the front with two large iron locks, having a large iron bail handle to either side. Dimensions: Height 27 3/4in; width 65 3/4in; depth 34 1/2in. Provenance: Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Estate. Condition: Structurally sound. Wear to surface, abrasions and surface scratches overall. Pitting and oxidation to metalwork. Shrinkage and age cracks. The top with a patched-in repair to the front right corner. Lacking several iron mounts. No keys.
