Pennsylvania Chippendale Walnut Two-Part Dutch Cupboard - A Pennsylvania Chippendale Walnut Two-Part Dutch Cupboard, Probably Lancaster County, Fourth Quarter 18th Century. The upper section with molded cornice above a pair of paneled cupboard doors enclosing a painted shelved interior fitted with plate grooves and spoon slots, divided by a central reeded panel, and flanked by canted corners. The conforming lower section fitted with two short drawers over a pair of paneled cupboards, having a shaped skirt, raised on bracket feet. Dimensions: Height 83 3/4in; width 58 3/4in; depth 20 3/4in. Provenance: Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Estate. Condition: Structurally sound. Retaining an older finish. The surface with general marks, wear, nicks, abrasions, surface scratches and small losses. The brass hardware is replaced. The upper section is bumped up with a later added middle pie shelf section made of walnut; appears to be easily removable. Scattered small patches, minor repairs and shrinkage throughout.
