American Slate Blue-Painted Blanket Chest, Late 18th Century - A Chippendale Slate Blue-Painted Blanket Chest, Mid-Atlantic States, Late 18th Century. The strap hinged rectangular top with breadboard ends and molded edge enclosing a dovetail-constructed box having a right covered till,  over two drawers, raised on bracket feet.  Dimensions: Height 30 1/4in; width 53 1/4in; depth 22in Provenance: Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Estate. Condition: Structurally sound. General marks, wear, abrasions, scuffs and surface scratches overall. Small losses. The feet with old breaks, repairs. The back feet with replaced facings.
