Coin Silver Spoon, Peter Bentzon, African American Silversmith - A serving spoon, marked as pictured and monogrammed at the terminal. Peter Bentzon (c. 1783–c. 1850) was an American silversmith. He was one of the first known silversmiths in the United States who was of African descent.   Dimensions: 9 1/4” long. The approximate weight is 1.5 troy ounces.  Provenance:  Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey. Condition: Good condition with minor expected wear.
