American Tulip Poplar Step Back Cupboard - An American Tulip Poplar Step Back Cupboard, 19th Century and Later. The upper section with molded cornice above a pair of fifteen-light doors enclosing a white-painted and shelved interior, above a lower section centered by a pair of sunken panel cupboards, flanked by a bank of three short drawers to either side. Dimensions: Height 88 3/4in; width 62 1/4in; depth 16 3/4in. Provenance: Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Collection. Condition: Structurally sound. The upper and lower sections are probably together by association. The upper section has been resized for a deeper depth In an overall refinished condition with a skimmed surface, probably previously painted. Scattered nicks and wear, breaks, small repairs and reconfigurations throughout. There is a vertical break to the lower section on the back left side. Separations at the cornice.
