A Louis XV Provincial Inlaid Fruitwood and Elm 'Comtoise' / 'Morbier' Tall Case Clock, Dated 1782. The case with inlaid date beneath the hood '1782'. The circular enamel dial having Roman hours and Arabic minutes, the twin train movement striking on a bell.
Dimensions: Height 93 3/4in; width 21in; depth 9 1/4in.
Provenance: Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Collection Curated by Bennett and Judie Weinstock, Philadelphia.
Condition:
The clock movement and case together by association. The enamel dial with scattered marks, wear, surface scratches, nicks, fleabites and small losses. The metalwork with wear. We cannot guarantee the completeness or functionality of the clock's movement. With two weights and pendulum.
