Philadelphia Chippendale Style Upholstered Mahogany Wingback - A Philadelphia Chippendale Style Upholstered Mahogany Wingback Chair,  20th Century. Possibly by Frank Auspitz (1923-2002), York, Pennsylvania. The shaped crest rail flanked by shaped wings over outswept arms, raised on square Marlborough legs with block feet, joined by an H-stretcher. Covered in a blue upholstery. Dimensions: Height 47 1/4in; width 37 3/4in; depth of seat 21 1/2in; depth over all 31in; seat height 18in. Provenance:  Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey. Condition: Structurally sound. General marks, wear, and dust accumulation to the upholstery. The frame with general marks, nick, abrasions, surface scratches ands small losses. Minor stains to the upholstery.
