Set of Eight Pennsylvania Birdcage Windsor Chairs, Lancaster County - A Set of Eight Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Birdcage Windsor Chairs, Possibly by Jacob and Frederick Fetter, 19th Century. Comprising six side chairs and a pair of armchairs. Each with bamboo turnings, having an octagonal ornament to the crest above a rod-back. Unmarked. (8) Dimensions: Height of side chairs 35in; width 18in; depth of seat 15in; seat height 17 3/4in; Height of armchairs 35in; width 18 1/2in; depth of seat 15in; seat height 17 3/4in. Provenance: Acquired in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey. Condition: Structurally sound. The set retaining old dark brown surfaces. Wear commensurate with age and use; general marks, wear, nicks, abrasions and surface scratches.
