Pair of French Spelter Figures: 'Semeur' and 'Semeuse'
A Pair of French Spelter Male and Female Figures of a Sower: 'Semeur' and 'Semeuse', Late 19th / Early 20th Century. The male figure after F. Milliot and the female figure after Luis Domenech. Each with an applied brass plaque to the front inscribed 'SEMEUR' and 'SEMEUSE', and foundry pastille.
Dimensions: Height of Semeur 41 1/4in; width 20in; depth 14in; Height of Semeuse 41in; width 21in; depth 14in.
Condition:
Each with heavy marks, wear, spotting, scuffs and surface scratches. Oxidation from exposure to the outside elements. Rubbing and toning especially to high points.
